Sailing, Reimagined for the Kosher & Shabbat-Observant Traveler
Kosher Sailing runs private catamaran charters for small groups and families across Greece, Sicily, Croatia and the British Virgin Islands โ kosher kitchen, GOK supervision, a Shabbat-friendly boat, and a crew that makes the whole week feel personal rather than packaged.
The short version: We make sailing accessible to people who keep kosher and Shabbat, without asking anyone to compromise on either. Trips are personalized, educational, fun and genuinely relaxing โ you set the pace, from an active week of diving, hiking and sailing hands-on, to a sedate week of swimming, snorkeling and watching the sunset from the deck. The boat is a 4-cabin catamaran with a fully kosher kitchen, supervised by GOK (Global Orthodox Kosher) under Rabbi Dr. Oren Duvdevani, and every week can be arranged Shabbat-friendly. In summer we sail the Saronic Gulf out of Athens, the volcanic Aeolian Islands off Sicily, and the Croatian Dalmatian coast; in winter, we head to the British Virgin Islands.
Why Kosher Sailing Exists
A sailing holiday is one of the most rewarding trips there is โ and, until now, one of the hardest to do properly while keeping kosher and Shabbat. We built Kosher Sailing to close that gap.
An adventure, not a compromise
This is a genuine sailing adventure โ sea, islands and incredible kosher cuisine together. You can learn to sail, take the helm, and ask the skipper as many questions as you like, or simply relax and enjoy the views.
Kosher and Shabbat, built in
The kitchen is kosher from the outset, supervised by GOK. We tie up in a marina or town quay for Shabbat, and the boat is Shabbat-friendly with a Shabbat urn and a hot plate on a timer switch.
Built for groups who want to be together
Come as a family, organize a group of friends, or join one of our scheduled sailings and make new friends from all over the world. Cabins and configuration flex to suit who's coming.
Personalized, not packaged
You decide the pace for the week. It can be more active โ walking, swimming and diving โ or more relaxed, reading, sipping cocktails and watching incredible sunsets. Either way, it's tailored to your group.
Our Boat & Onboard Life
Our home for the week is a gorgeous catamaran with double cabins and en-suite bathrooms. She generates her own electricity, has air conditioning, a fully kosher kitchen, water toys โ and, most importantly, an espresso maker.
Chef & Hostess Aboard
Opt for a private chef and hostess for the week and enjoy a truly pampering experience โ amazing kosher meals prepared and served for you, so you can simply relax and sail.
Cook It Yourself
Prefer to be hands-on? Choose to cook for yourselves and be more involved in the sailing itself, with more cabins available since no separate crew accommodation is needed.
Larger & Higher-End Boats
Our standard catamarans have 4 double cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Larger, higher-end boats for bigger groups or a more luxurious week are available on request.
| Configuration | Guests | Cabins / Bathrooms |
|---|---|---|
| With private chef & hostess | Up to 8 | 4 cabins, each en-suite |
