Kosher Certification – GOK

Kosher Sailing operates under the supervision of Global Orthodox Kosher (GOK), an Israel-based organization dedicated to making kosher certification more accessible, transparent, and inclusive for both travelers and the food industry worldwide. GOK combines strict adherence to halachic standards with a modern, service-oriented approach to kashrut.

Rabbi Dr. Oren Duvdevani, a globally renowned expert in kosher certification with over 25 years of experience, serves as the head of GOK. He previously led Tzohar’s Kashrut Supervision service in Israel and has held key positions overseeing kosher certification for communities in Givatayim, Mexico, India, and Turkey. Recently appointed as the head of kashrut for the Jewish community in Zurich, Rabbi Duvdevani also specializes in supervising kashrut for the tourism industry, including hotels and cruise ships, ensuring high standards of kosher compliance in these sectors.

Rabbi Duvdevani holds a PhD in Jewish Studies from Bar-Ilan University and received rabbinical ordination from Yeshivat Har Etzion. His work reflects a commitment to strengthening Jewish identity and providing practical kosher solutions globally. Over the years, he has become a trusted resource for travelers seeking guidance on maintaining kashrut abroad, answering hundreds of thousands of inquiries with efficiency and care to ensure observance of mitzvot worldwide.
