- Our embarkation point is the Alimos marina in Athens. It is easily accessible from Athens airport.
- We depart promptly at 3pm, returning to the marina the following week for disembarkation at 9am.
- Apart from Shabbat, we will be anchored in bays and use the dinghy to get to shore.
- Weather and sea conditions will always affect our progress and our itinerary which may change at any time.
- This is given as a guide only and additional or replacement stops will be planned as necessary to meet the conditions of the area or the guest requests and preferences.
Your Home on the Water
We use two sizes of catamarans depending on whether you want to self-cater or if you want a chef and hostess for the week. A 46 foot catamaran has 4 guest cabins with en-suite bathroom and an additional cabin for the skipper. The larger 51 foot catamaran also has 4 guest cabins which are slightly larger and 3 additional cabins for crew. As well as the expansive salon indoors, there is a shaded outdoor area, front cushions by the trampoline, and up on top, cushions to lie down and a wrap around seat to enjoy the view. The larger boat has more room on the flybridge (up top). The boat is fully air conditioned and has its own generator and water maker. (*Actual boat and configuration may vary)
Typical Greece Itinerary
Day by Day
Itinerary is a guide only — weather, Shabbat and your preferences shape the final route.
Wednesday Athens
Since you won’t be arriving at the boat until 3pm, why not let us arrange a Jewish historical tour of Athens in the morning. When you arrive at the Alimos Marina, you’ll have some refreshments, be shown to your cabin and get a thorough safety briefing and boat tour.
When everyone has settled in, we’ll leave the marina for a 3 hour sail SW across the Saronic Gulf anchoring in a gorgeous bay on the west side of the gulf for our first night under the stars. Depending on weather conditions and the time we leave Athens, we may anchor in Agistri overnight or continue on towards or beyond Poros.
Thursday – Hydra and Spetses
Today we’ll set off after breakfast to visit Hydra Town on Hydra Island which is a charming maze of streets around the port, with elegant stone mansions and narrow paved streets. There are no cars anywhere on the island which is known for its historical significance and architectural beauty. You’ll have time to wander around the serene waterfront setting with traditional taverns and museums, creating a peaceful and captivating atmosphere.
We’ll be anchored in a bay on Hydra island where we’ll have lunch and you can swim and snorkel then in the early afternoon, we’ll move on to Spetses where you have the option of a guided e-bike tour across the island and a visit to Bekiri’s Cave.

Friday Spetses to Poros
We’ll wake up in Spetses on Friday morning for an early visit to the fisherman to buy fresh fish for Shabbat. Spetses is known for its elegant atmosphere and calm ambiance and offers a blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. You’ll have time to look around the town before we sail towards Poros.
On the way to Poros, we’ll stop in one or two more bays for swimming and snorkeling breaks and after we arrive in Poros in the mid-afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to go for a well deserved massage in a villa across the bay.

Shabbat – Poros
We’ll be moored in Poros for Shabbat, backed up to the town quay where we can watch the hustle and bustle of all the other yachts coming and going. Poros is a picturesque Greek island known for its lush pine forests and charming waterfront. With neoclassical architecture, a historic clock tower, and plenty of hiking trails on the island, its ideal for relaxing and exploring.

Sunday – Poros – Methana
Today begins with jet skis, parasailing, crazy sofa or water skiing for those who want adventure or relaxing on the boat or in the bay for those who want more calm!. We’ll then move on to Methana for an afternoon climb up to the summit of the dormant volcano and after you return, you’ll be able to soak in the thermal springs before returning to the boat for dinner.

Monday – Epidavros
After breakfast in Methana, we’ll then sail around the peninsula to Epidavros Port where scuba diving can be arranged for those who want after lunch. Later in the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the spectacular Epidavros Amphitheater which is a half hour taxi ride away and we highly recommend taking a guide which we will arrange for you. The perfect acoustics of this amphitheater that the Greeks built 4000 years ago have to be heard to be believed.

Tuesday – Back to Athens
In the morning, you’ll have an opportunity to snorkel in the shallow water just south of the Epidavros Port where you’ll be able to explore the sunken city of Epidavros. After a leisurely morning, we’ll set sail back across the gulf towards Athens stopping on the way for lunch and a final swim stop in yet another spectacular bay. We’ll arrive back at the marina on Tuesday late afternoon for a final dinner and debriefing as we start to wind down from the amazing week we’ve spent together.

Wednesday Farewell
We’ll be waking up on Tuesday morning to say a fond farewell to the crew and the boat at 9am after an amazing week of sailing.

We’re looking forward to raising the sails and dropping the anchor with you! Unless otherwise stated, each trip is 7 days from 15:00 on the first day to 09:00 a week later. Trips longer than 7 days can be arranged (and are more relaxed with more time to see all the islands). Please speak to us!
