Your Home on the Water

Meet this beautiful catamaran* which could be your home with 4 double cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom and separate shower. She’s just under 15m long and 8m wide and as well as the expansive salon indoors, there is a shaded outdoor area, front cushions by the trampoline, and up on top, cushions to lie down and a wrap around seat to enjoy the view. The boat is fully air conditioned and has its own generator and water maker. (*Actual boat and configuration may vary)

Typical Greece Itinerary

Arrive at Alimos Marina, you’ll be shown to your cabin and get a thorough safety briefing and boat tour.

When everyone has settled in, we’ll leave the marina for a 3 hour sail SW to Agistri Island. Depending on weather conditions and the time we leave Athens, we may anchor in Aegina or Agistri overnight or continue on to Epidavros.

Kosher Catamaran

We will spend the morning in Epidavros Port where we can go and explore the sea by snorkeling at the remains of the submerged city or for those who want to go diving, this can be arranged. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the spectacular Epidavros Amphitheater which is a half hour taxi ride away. The perfect acoustics of this amphitheater that the Greeks built 4000 years ago have to be heard to be believed.

In the afternoon we’ll move south, anchoring overnight on the way to Poros.

Epidavros Amphi

Today’s adventure begins with a leisurely stroll through the picturesque town of Poros, where we can immerse ourselves in the local culture and visit the fisherman to buy their fresh catch for dinner. As the day unfolds, we’ll set sail towards the tranquil bays of Hydra or Dokos, where we’ll anchor for the night, basking in the serenity of the surroundings and witnessing a breathtaking sunset painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson.

Poros Quay

We’ll be visiting Hydra Town on Hydra Island which is a charming maze of streets around the port, with elegant stone mansions and narrow paved streets. There are no cars anywhere on the island which is known for its historical significance and architectural beauty. You’ll have time to wander around the serene waterfront setting with traditional taverns and museums, creating a peaceful and captivating atmosphere.

In the early afternoon, we’ll move on to Porto Cheli which will be our home for Shabbat.

We’ll be moored in Porto Cheli for Shabbat, a summer resort town nestled on a bay of the Argolic Gulf. Porto Heli’s vibrant waterfront hosts various activities, from book fairs to concerts, while its beaches like Hinitsa and Ververoda offer water sports and relaxation. This cosmopolitan destination is a blend of natural beauty, luxury, and lively nightlife.

You’ll have time to relax on board, wander through the town and go out in the evening for a drink.

Hydra Town

A visit to the region isn’t complete without a visit to Spetses, known for its elegant atmosphere, impressive mansions, and calm ambiance. Spetses offers a blend of history, culture, and natural beauty and you will have time to look around before we sail to the opposite side of the island to visit Bekiri’s Cave.

In the afternoon, we’ll head off to Dokos bay where we’ll anchor overnight in the tranquility of an island almost uninhabited. Goats and chickens outnumber the people!

Sunset at Dakos Island

We’ll start our journey back to Athens by sailing back past Poros and stopping off at one of a number of locations that we may have skipped earlier in the week. There is no shortage of locations including Aigina, Agkistri and Methana. Depending on the weather forecast, we may head back to Athens In the evening or early the following morning.

Tied up at Russian Bay

We’ll be waking up on Tuesday morning to say a fond farewell to the crew and the boat at 9am after an amazing week of sailing.
